A native of Charleroi, Alix Perez collaborates with Foreign Beggars, Bou and Machinedrum, a household name on BBC Radio 1, with three drum and bass albums, the last of which ("Hellion") was released in 2023. If he was to run in the 2024 municipal elections, he would certainly dethrone Paul Magnette, but Alix preferred to live abroad, as did Romelu Lukaku, Toumani Camara and Charline Vanhoenacker. Although the talent drain is real, Dour Festival is able to bring them back to the country; an epic at 170BPM in this case.
