A member of the True Playaz collective and pupil of the legendary DJ Hype, DJ Zinc turned his back on the drum n bass scene in 2007 before coming back with a complete makeover and an absolute departure from the sound he felt had become too stagnant. Now producing what he describes as 'crack house' music (a sort of uncategorisable mix of funky and deep house), he pursues the house genre because of its energy and malleability, something you'll undoubtedly hear in his live house set at Dour 2010.
