A world champion at the DMC World Championships at the tender age of 20, the Japanese turntable master DJ Kentaro has just released his first ever album as a producer, Enter. Clearing displaying a gift for the art, the album uses hybrid sounds such as rock, dub, disco, electro, drum and bass, and hip-hop. Invitees include Spank Rock, New Flesh and The Pharcyde, each witness to Kentaro's phenomenal scratching capabilities. His live sets possess something of his contemporary Kid Koala; they are pioneering but never fall prey to obscure experimentalism.
